Committee Elections
Next Wednesday (7th week - 25th of November) at 5pm in OUSU, Target Schools will host its committee elections for the forthcoming year. There are 9 positions up for grabs and these are described in detail below. To run, all you need to do is turn up next Wednesday and give a short hust for the position in which you're interested. Following this there will be some questions, and the current committee will vote. You'll find out there and then if you've been elected or not. If you aren't successful running for one position, we encourage you to stay and run for another.
The positions available are as follows:
3 X Publicity and Recruitment Officers
Responsible for organising the Freshers' Fair stall; for creating publicity materials; for running information events each term; for maintaining the Facebook group.
4 x Training Co-Ordinators
Responsible for maintaining the training materials; for organising and running training sessions; for maintaining a database of student volunteers who have been trained; for suggesting schools to visit to trained students; for liaising with college access reps, where appropriate.
1 x Secretary
Responsible for keeping minutes and sending out action points; helping the committee in general.
1 x Chairman
This position is only open to current members of the Target Schools Committee.
